Doing okay for our 18 person setup

We rate it highly and explain it often. The mobile story is thin, this is desk software.

Cons

Report customisation takes patience

A strong engine wearing modest clothes.

Doing the job for us in George

Bills of materials handle our light assembly without ERP ceremony. Data conversions from Pastel come across with history intact.

Happy customer in Pretoria

Serial number tracking on our electronics stock paid for itself in the first warranty dispute. Year end runs without the consultant visit our old package required. Our warehouse and our ledger finally tell one story.

Pros

Landed costs on imports; warehouse depth at accounting prices

Decent fit for a 130 person company

Honest software that skips the beauty contest. The mobile story is thin, this is desk software. The consultant pool is smaller than the Sage universe.

Pros

Johannesburg support that answers; bills of materials for light assembly

Cons

Report customisation takes patience

Our accountant in Mossel Bay recommended it, good call

Our 8 user operation in Rustenburg runs sales, stores and books in it daily. Data conversions from Pastel come across with history intact. Recommended, especially past the entry level tier.

Pros

Warehouse depth at accounting prices; bills of materials for light assembly

Mostly happy in Bloemfontein, a few gripes

We rate it highly and explain it often. Some modules feel deeper than the documentation that describes them. Multi warehouse stock stays accurate because the transactions force discipline.

Pros

Serial and lot tracking included

Cons

Thin mobile story

Working well for our 60 person team

We moved off Pastel when stock got serious and Palladium gave us warehouse depth at half the quoted alternatives. Landed cost handling spreads freight and duties properly on imports. The best software our accountant had never heard of, and now recommends.

Pros

Landed costs on imports

A quiet workhorse for 3 years now

The free Individual edition ran my side business until it stopped being a side business. The point of sale option feeds the same database as everything else. Stock heavy SA businesses should evaluate it before paying ERP money.

Pros

Native SA VAT and SARS alignment; johannesburg support that answers

Cons

Functional, dated interface

Still glad we chose it, 6 years later

Procurement controls stopped the buying chaos our old system permitted. Data conversions from Pastel come across with history intact. The price per user embarrasses the equivalent tier at the big names. It does what the expensive names do, quietly and cheaper.

Pros

Free single user edition

The hosted option moved us off our dying server without drama. Year end runs without the consultant visit our old package required. Multi warehouse stock stays accurate because the transactions force discipline.

Support is a Johannesburg number and the person answering knows the product cold. Multi warehouse stock stays accurate because the transactions force discipline. Our warehouse and our ledger finally tell one story.

2 years in and still happy

The SQL database ended the data rebuild rituals our old package demanded. Year end runs without the consultant visit our old package required. Reports drill from summary to source document cleanly. It does what the expensive names do, quietly and cheaper.

Good but not perfect for our Pretoria team

The features punch up, the polish stays home. Remote access means the hosted option or remote desktop. The consultant pool is smaller than the Sage universe.

After 2 years the value is proven and the quirks familiar. The consultant pool is smaller than the Sage universe. Multi warehouse stock stays accurate because the transactions force discipline.
