11 June 2026

Financial Services · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for Less than 6 months

Grew from 5 users to 22 without changing systems

Happy with it overall, our partner relationship makes the difference. Customisations serve us well but each upgrade tests every one of them. VAT and SARS alignment is native, not an afterthought like the imports.

Pros

Strong job costing and BOM functionality

Cons

Needs proper server infrastructure

Agriculture · 201–500 employees South Africa Used for 6–12 months

Too much consulting money to keep it running

The product may be fine, our implementation certainly was not. The go live slipped twice and the fixes came out of our budget, not theirs.

Pros

Procurement approval workflows

Cons

Upgrades broke customisations repeatedly

Our accountant in Boksburg recommended it, good call

Being able to pull anything out of SQL means no report is impossible. Branch accounting keeps each depot honest while head office sees everything. Sage Intelligence gives the exco their monthly pack straight from the ledger.

Pros

POS option feeding the same ledger; huge business partner network countrywide

Solid choice for our Randburg business

Retail · 500+ employees South Africa Used for 2+ years

Decent fit for a 750 person company

A capable ERP that gives back exactly what you put into the implementation. You need a proper server and IT discipline, this is not plug and play. User security is granular down to the field level where we need it.

Pros

POS option feeding the same ledger; sQL Server foundation, no data black box

Financial Services South Africa Used for 1–2 years

Grew from 5 users to 20 without changing systems

Our reseller in Cape Town knows our setup personally, that relationship is gold. Our auditors connect their tools directly and the audit got shorter. Serial number tracking sorted our warranty claims process completely. Serious software that rewards a serious implementation.

Pros

One ledger across every module

Cons

Performance tuning needed as data grows

Good system, but understand you are buying a project not a product. The screens work but graduates raised on cloud software find them foreign. Approval workflows in procurement stopped orders nobody authorised.

Pros

Huge business partner network countrywide

Cons

Performance tuning needed as data grows

Doing okay for our 45 person setup

A capable ERP that gives back exactly what you put into the implementation. Report writing beyond the standard set means paying your partner or learning SQL. User security is granular down to the field level where we need it.

Happy customer in Boksburg

The retail POS at the counter feeds the same ledger as everything else. Pricing matrices handle our customer specific discounts without side letters. It absorbed a 40 percent growth year without breaking stride. Would we choose it again? We did, for our second company.

Pros

Natural upgrade path from Pastel

Cons

Training costs add up per module

Disappointed after 3 years

The quote for licences was honest, the cost of ownership was not. Simple changes need consultant hours, nothing is ever just a setting.

Cons

Simple changes always need paid consulting
