Working well for our 40 person team

Onboarding documents go out before day one and arrive back signed. Document acknowledgement means policy arguments end with a timestamp. The best kind of software: forgettable because it works.

Disappointed after 2 years

We spent our first month undoing British defaults. A disciplinary process needs documentation this system cannot properly hold. The band jump doubled our bill for the sake of two hires.

Our Cape Town team stopped arguing about leave

For the price we forgive the gaps, mostly. The leave defaults arrive very British and need proper SA configuration on day one.

Set up over a weekend, adopted by Friday

After 7 years the records are complete, current and findable in seconds. Leave balances calculate themselves and staff check the app instead of asking.

HR for 8 people without an HR person

We configured South African leave rules once and it has behaved ever since. Exporting for the accountant or a labour consultant takes one click. The employee self service means staff update their own banking and addresses. Simple, predictable and quietly essential now.

Good but not perfect for our Kimberley team

It handles the basics well and the basics are most of it. There is no employment equity or skills reporting, that stays in spreadsheets.

Decent fit for a 45 person company

A good honest product with a British accent you will need to manage. Pound billing shifts with the exchange rate quarter to quarter.

Good but not perfect for our Pietermaritzburg team

Does what we bought it for and little beyond. The tier boundaries mean one hire can bump the whole monthly price. The org chart stays current because the records underneath it do.
