Our accountant in Rustenburg recommended it, good call

As a Richards Bay business we hesitated over an American product, and the rand pricing plus VAT support settled it. The custom reports run themselves on schedule and land in the right inboxes.

Pros

Free accountant access on every plan; huge app marketplace for integrations

Cons

Promo to full price jump surprises

The reporting depth won us over

After 2 years the strengths are obvious and so are the gaps. The feed needs reauthenticating every few months, always discovered at a bad time. The mobile app is a proper working tool, not a brochure version of the desktop.

Pros

Free accountant access on every plan; aI categorisation that learns your business

Cons

No local payroll, pair with a SA product

Good decision for a 6 person company

As a Centurion business we hesitated over an American product, and the rand pricing plus VAT support settled it. It scaled from two of us to a proper finance function without changing systems. The mobile app is a proper working tool, not a brochure version of the desktop. The books run themselves now, mostly.

Cons

VAT defaults need SA specific setup

Happy customer in Paarl

Our 25 person company has run on it for 2 years and the books have never been cleaner. The app marketplace connected our store, our payment gateway and our CRM without a consultant. Support chat resolved our setup questions quickly in the first month.

Mostly happy in eMalahleni, a few gripes

The product deserves five stars, the SA experience takes one back. The price has climbed every year and the promo to full price jump surprises people. The custom reports run themselves on schedule and land in the right inboxes.

Happy customer in Midrand

The interface is the best in the category and that matters more than people admit, because staff actually use it. The app marketplace connected our store, our payment gateway and our CRM without a consultant. The accountant access is free and our accountant already knew the product well. For reporting depth alone it earns its subscription.

Pros

Interface staff genuinely enjoy using; scales from startup to real finance team

Cons

Default reports need localising

Solid choice for our Roodepoort business

Our bookkeeper cut her monthly hours on our file almost in half after the switch. Bank transactions from Capitec arrive overnight and the matching suggestions are usually right.

No complaints after 3 years

The AI categorisation handles the bulk of our transactions before anyone looks at them. The mobile app is a proper working tool, not a brochure version of the desktop.

Pros

AI categorisation that learns your business; no installs or version upgrades ever

Good software with a support experience that depends on who answers. The price has climbed every year and the promo to full price jump surprises people. Project and class tracking gave us margin visibility we never had on desktop.

Exactly what our 8 person business needed

Moved off desktop software in March and within a quarter our month end shrank by a week. Quotes, invoices and statements all carry our branding properly. The polish is worth paying for. Recommended.

Support quality is inconsistent

Still glad we chose it, 5 years later

After 5 years I still discover reports that answer questions I was solving in Excel. The accountant access is free and our accountant already knew the product well.

Let us down when it counted

It never felt like it was built for a South African business, because it was not. Every support chat started from zero, no continuity, no ownership.

Cons

Support without continuity or ownership

We like it a great deal and grumble about it regularly. The price has climbed every year and the promo to full price jump surprises people. VAT at 15% flows through invoicing, bills and reports without special handling.

Very good, not yet great for SA

A world class product that sometimes forgets which country it is in. Some terminology stays stubbornly American, sales tax where VAT should be.

Pros

Audit log settles every dispute; aI categorisation that learns your business

Cons

Annual price increases are reliable
