South Africa Used for 2+ years

Perfect size for a growing Johannesburg company

For a Paarl company of our size the pricing calculator made the decision easy. Core HR at R28 per employee makes the budget conversation short.

Pros

Great self service mobile app adoption; org chart and approvals out of the box

Media & Marketing · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 1–2 years

Recruitment module filled two posts in a month

Happy overall, though a few promised features are still promises. Public holiday handling needed manual setup for the SA calendar. Workflows adapt to how we actually work rather than forcing a process on us.

Pros

Slack and Google Workspace integrations; quick setup with the 30 day trial

Cons

Offshore support with time zone lag

Technology · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 6–12 months

Easy adoption, shallow analytics

The core experience is great and the edges are rough. Employment equity reporting is not built in, we still do that in Excel. Reports export cleanly when the auditors or the department ask questions.

Pros

Onboarding checklists for new starters; org chart and approvals out of the box

Cons

Mobile app has logout quirks

Doing okay for our 30 person setup

The core experience is great and the edges are rough. The announcements feature replaced the notice board nobody read.

Pros

Slack and Google Workspace integrations; great self service mobile app adoption

Cons

Real Estate · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for Less than 6 months

Solid choice for our Centurion business

Expenses claims go through the app with the slip photographed on the spot. Documents get signed digitally, contracts and policies included. Approval workflows mean nothing waits for someone who is on leave themselves. Exactly the right amount of system for a company our size.

Pros

Modular, pay only for what you switch on

Cons

Payroll integration needs consulting help

10 years in and still happy

The per employee pricing means our costs track our headcount exactly. New employee self onboarding collects the tax number and bank details before day one.

Pros

Published rand pricing per employee

Hospitality · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 2+ years

Mostly happy in Pietermaritzburg, a few gripes

Good value, as long as your needs match the modules. Custom fields help, but deeper policy logic just is not configurable. New employee self onboarding collects the tax number and bank details before day one.

Pros

Published rand pricing per employee

Cons

Offshore support with time zone lag

Manufacturing · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 2+ years

Working well for our 12 person team

The org chart alone justified it to our MD. Leave rules handle our BCEA minimums fine once set up properly. For rand based per employee pricing it is hard to beat.

Pros

Modular, pay only for what you switch on

Food & Beverage · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 6–12 months

Decent fit for a 15 person company

Very good at the basics, still maturing on the advanced side. Support is offshore and the time zone gap slows conversations down. Workflows adapt to how we actually work rather than forcing a process on us.

Pros

Great self service mobile app adoption

Cons

Analytics are basic, exports do the heavy lifting

Food & Beverage · 201–500 employees South Africa Used for 2+ years

Mostly happy in Gqeberha, a few gripes

After 10 years on it we are satisfied rather than delighted. Integration with our payroll needed a consultant to wire up properly.

Pros

Org chart and approvals out of the box

No complaints after 10 years

Decent fit for a 28 person company

It fits us today, I wonder about us in three years. Support is offshore and the time zone gap slows conversations down.

Pros

Org chart and approvals out of the box; modular, pay only for what you switch on

Cons

Advanced policy logic is not configurable

Legal · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for 1–2 years

Perfect size for a growing Pietermaritzburg company

The core experience is great and the edges are rough. The modules each cost a little, and together they cost more than you noticed agreeing to. The mobile app is where our staff live and it does the essentials well.

Pros

Recruitment module at a flat monthly rate

Cons

SA public holidays need manual setup

21 June 2026

Nonprofit · 11–50 employees South Africa Used for Less than 6 months

Working well for our 30 person team

We are 30 employees with no HR person and this basically is our HR person. It speaks to Slack so approvals happen where the team already talks. The announcements feature replaced the notice board nobody read.

Our accountant in Kimberley recommended it, good call

Our managers approve leave from their phones between meetings. New employee self onboarding collects the tax number and bank details before day one. The staff like it, the managers like it, the accountant likes the price.

Pros

Recruitment module at a flat monthly rate

Cons
