It does most of what it promises, though not all of it speaks South African yet. Reports are superb, dashboards less so.

Doing okay for our 14 person setup

The strengths are real and so is the invoice every month. The rand price moves when the exchange rate does, which makes budgeting interesting. Custom roles took an afternoon to design and have prevented every permissions argument since.

Working well for our 180 person team

The custom report builder produces our exco pack in the format the board actually asked for. Our auditors pulled what they needed from the custom reports without a single request to us.

Exactly what our 220 person business needed

After outgrowing Plus we braced for an ERP project, and this turned out to be enough. The workflow builder is genuinely usable by a finance person, no consultant needed. It gave our finance function room to breathe for years.

After outgrowing Plus we braced for an ERP project, and this turned out to be enough. Excel sync goes both ways, edit in the sheet and the books update, which still feels like magic. Reports we used to build manually every month now refresh themselves on schedule.

The automation builder fought us

We paid top tier money and too often got mid tier answers. The workflow we needed most hit an edge case support could not untangle.

It does most of what it promises, though not all of it speaks South African yet. The workflow builder is powerful once you learn its logic, and its logic takes learning. VAT stays correct through the automation, the batch invoicing, all of it.

We use maybe half of it well, and that half is excellent. Some Advanced features clearly ship for the US first and arrive here months later. The Finance AI summaries give our MD a weekly picture without anyone building it.

It solved our reporting problem and introduced a budgeting one. The rand price moves when the exchange rate does, which makes budgeting interesting.

Good decision for a 80 person company

Approvals used to be email threads, now they are workflows with an audit trail. Everything from Plus carries over, so stock and projects kept working through the upgrade. If you are weighing this against an ERP quote, do the maths and smile.

Frustrating experience for our 55 person team

We paid top tier money and too often got mid tier answers. The price difference against Plus bought us features we opened twice. Batch invoicing failed on our VAT setup and the fix took three weeks of tickets.

Our 14 person company finally fits in one system

A genuinely capable tier that makes you pay for every bit of that capability. Revenue recognition works for simple schedules and gets fiddly past that. Unlimited chart of accounts meant our group structure finally fitted properly.
