Billing in dollars was a mess for months

Support turned a small setup problem into a three week saga. Chat support contradicted the help article and neither matched the actual screen.

Mixed feelings after 5 years

The essentials are here, some of the conveniences are not. The three user limit is fine until the fourth person joins the office. Three users each have their own login and the audit trail shows who did what.

Good but not perfect for our Mbombela team

A good plan with a couple of gaps that keep it honest. Payment scheduling means suppliers get paid on terms, not when someone remembers.

Multi currency rounding caused real problems

For the price jump over the entry plan I expected more than bills and a seat count. Part payments against dollar invoices created rounding differences our accountant had to journal away.

Decent fit for a 6 person company

A good plan with a couple of gaps that keep it honest. No stock at this level, so our small product line lives in a spreadsheet next to it. Payment scheduling means suppliers get paid on terms, not when someone remembers.

Our accountant in Rustenburg recommended it, good call

Our Vereeniging office gave up on it

For the price jump over the entry plan I expected more than bills and a seat count. Exchange rates update on their timetable, not the reserve bank's, and the differences add up.

Exactly what our 8 person business needed

My bookkeeper, my partner and I all work in the books at the same time without stepping on each other. VAT at 15% flows through everything and the return figures reconcile first time.

Expected better, Boksburg customer

Support turned a small setup problem into a three week saga. We needed one report the tier does not include and the answer was always upgrade. The feed dropped in July and reconnecting duplicated a fortnight of transactions.

Supplier bills finally out of my inbox

The time entry feature means our hourly billing finally matches the hours we actually work. The Capitec feed has behaved itself for us, next morning delivery like clockwork. The books finally feel like a system instead of a scramble.

Working well for our 4 person team

We chose it over the cheaper plan for the bill management and have never second guessed it. Our accountant reviews everything remotely and quarter end became a non event.

Cash flow surprises stopped happening

Happy with the bills side, ambivalent about the rest. Reports are decent but project level profit lives one expensive tier up.

Happy customer in Rustenburg

We are a 4 person services firm and Essentials fits us like it was measured. Bills capture quickly and the due date view tells me exactly what Monday's payment run looks like. Recommended, especially if foreign invoices are part of your life.

Switched from a desktop package in January and the cloud move was less painful than feared. Our accountant reviews everything remotely and quarter end became a non event. Our creditors book has never been this clean.

The accountant logs in monthly, reviews, adjusts and leaves, no file swapping ever. Support solved our multi currency setup question in one chat session, credit where due. Time entries land against customers so nothing billable slips through anymore. Recommended, especially if foreign invoices are part of your life.
