South Africa Used for Less than 6 months

Good decision for a 14 person company

We build kitchen cabinets and for the first time I know the margin per job while the job is still open. The Customer AI surfaces leads that went quiet, and two of them became orders last quarter.

Cons

Some stock workflows assume US tax

Exactly what our 22 person business needed

Pros

Project profitability visible while jobs run; strong reporting at this tier

Decent fit for a 35 person company

Good software with a big appetite for configuration. The price is fair but the annual increases arrive reliably. Budgets against actuals per class made our monthly management meeting actually useful.

Pros

Handles agency, workshop and retail patterns

Cons

Class tracking capped at forty

Good but not perfect for our Knysna team

It does projects brilliantly and inventory adequately. Inventory has no serial numbers, no batches and no multiple warehouses, know that going in.

Pros

Budgets against actuals per division

Food & Beverage Zambia Used for 1–2 years

Good decision for a 8 person company

Moved our retail shop onto it in April and the stockholding number finally means something. Class and location tracking up to forty covers our branches with room to spare. The step up from Essentials is the best software money we spent this year.

Pros

Budgets against actuals per division; customer AI resurfaces quiet leads

Cons

Opening stock setup takes real effort

Working well for our 8 person team

Moved our retail shop onto it in August and the stockholding number finally means something. Reporting at this tier is genuinely strong, profit by project, by class, by location, by month. Inventory quantities stay honest because every sale and purchase moves the count automatically. The favourite plan for a reason. Recommended without reservation.

Pros

VAT correct through stock and projects

Cons

No serial numbers, batches or multi warehouse

Our accountant in Umhlanga recommended it, good call

I manage 15 active projects at any time and each one shows its own profit line. Budgets against actuals per class made our monthly management meeting actually useful. Our Standard Bank feed feeds all of it, and reconciling takes minutes.

Pros

Low stock alerts that fire in time; handles agency, workshop and retail patterns

Construction & Trades South Africa Used for Less than 6 months

Good but not perfect for our Stellenbosch team

Very capable software that asks for a proper setup effort first. The project reports are good but you cannot customise them much at this tier. The jump in capability over Essentials is far bigger than the jump in price.

Pros

Inventory with automatic cost of sales; big capability jump for a modest price step

Cons

Class tracking capped at forty

Solid choice for our Upington business

The class tracking lets us report our consulting and training divisions separately from one set of books. Our year end stock take matched the system within a rounding error, first time ever.

Cons

Opening stock setup takes real effort

Happy customer in Pietermaritzburg

Purchase orders to our suppliers now come out of the system instead of WhatsApp messages. Everything the sales rep quotes on the road is visible to the office in real time. The Customer AI surfaces leads that went quiet, and two of them became orders last quarter. For an agency or contractor it is close to perfect.

Pros

Strong reporting at this tier; low stock alerts that fire in time

We needed serial numbers, there are none

The inventory module wrote cheques the warehouse could not cash. We asked support about negative stock and got three contradictory answers.

Cons

Inventory support knowledge is shallow

Serving our Mossel Bay operation well

We quote projects, track costs against them and invoice from the same screen. The jump in capability over Essentials is far bigger than the jump in price.

Pros

Strong reporting at this tier; budgets against actuals per division

Cons

Annual price increases are dependable

Good but not perfect for our Roodepoort team

Good software with a big appetite for configuration. The feed hiccupped twice this year and stock purchases had to be matched by hand.

Pros

Customer AI resurfaces quiet leads

Cons

Only four custom fields

Our accountant in Stellenbosch recommended it, good call

We run a 45 person agency and project profitability is the reason we can price with confidence. Project reports show labour, materials and overheads against each job while it runs. VAT stays right through all of it, stock purchases, project invoicing, everything at 15%.

Pros

Big capability jump for a modest price step

Cons

Class tracking capped at forty

Mostly happy in eMalahleni, a few gripes

It does projects brilliantly and inventory adequately. Some inventory workflows clearly assume US sales tax rather than VAT and need care. Project reports show labour, materials and overheads against each job while it runs.

Cons

Project reports barely customisable

Happy customer in Gqeberha

Stock alerts warned us before the December rush emptied the shelves, that alone was worth the year's subscription. Purchase orders convert to bills when the stock arrives, one flow from order to payment. The five seats each carry their own permissions, so the sales guy sees sales and nothing else.

Pros

VAT correct through stock and projects

Cons

Project reports barely customisable

Great tier, though the total cost creeps up on you. Class tracking capped at forty sounds fine until you get creative with divisions.

Cons

Good software with a big appetite for configuration. The project reports are good but you cannot customise them much at this tier. Custom fields are limited to four, which our workshop filled immediately.
