The Confluence pairing keeps specs one click from their tickets. Releases collect their tickets so notes write themselves.

Serving our Springs operation well

Automation moves tickets, assigns reviewers and nags politely so we do not. Automation rules trimmed our standup admin to nothing. The mobile app handles approvals and comments adequately.

Pros

Free for teams up to ten; the agile standard toolset

After 5 years we run well on it and prune it quarterly. Releases collect their tickets so notes write themselves.

Our 15 dev shop runs releases through it

Our 15 person dev shop plans, builds and releases through it and clients trust the trail. Automation rules trimmed our standup admin to nothing. It scales from startup board to enterprise programme.

Pros

Confluence and repo integration

Expected better, Worcester customer

The ceremony overhead crushed a five person team. Three workflow schemes for one team is a confession, and we made it. Simple task tracking needed a training course.

Cons

Ceremony overhead for small teams

Doing okay for our 7 person setup

It models everything, including your mistakes. Marketplace apps solve gaps at per user prices that stack. JQL answers any question about the work, once learned.

Good but not perfect for our Benoni team

Powerful software that breeds configuration. The admin interface hides settings in archaeological layers. Workflow sprawl is real, someone must own the pruning.

Pros

Confluence and repo integration; free for teams up to ten

Cons

Settings buried in layers

No complaints after 7 years

Epics roll into roadmaps the stakeholders actually open. Story points and velocity ended the loudest voice estimation method. Releases collect their tickets so notes write themselves. It scales from startup board to enterprise programme.
