Mostly happy in Benoni, a few gripes

There is a lot to like here and a few things that need honest work. Customer statements could look more professional without paying a designer.

Our Stellenbosch office gave up on it

It could not keep up once we passed a few hundred invoices a month. Every price letter says the same thing about added value I am not seeing.

Pros

Handles multiple small companies from one login

Cons

Support response times were unacceptable, days not hours. Cancellation process was a mission

Serving our Cape Town operation well

Started on the Start plan and moved up to Standard when we hired our first admin person. Yoco payments reconcile against invoices without me lifting a finger.

Pros

Rand pricing with a proper local support line

Great fit for a small East London business

There is a lot to like here and a few things that need honest work. The stock module covers the basics but anything detailed means exporting to Excel. Payroll journals come across from Sage Payroll on their own, nothing to capture twice.

Pros

Setup is quick even for non accountants; works fine on a tablet at the counter

Cons

Report layouts cannot really be customised

Good but not perfect for our Mbombela team

Mostly a good experience over the past 2 years, with some frustrations. I wish budgeting was built in properly instead of feeling like an afterthought. VAT at 15 percent is calculated on everything automatically and the return is basically ready when SARS comes knocking.

Pros

Cloud based so load shedding does not cost you data

Quoting and invoicing sorted for my small business

I capture supplier invoices the day they arrive and cash flow finally makes sense. Payroll journals come across from Sage Payroll on their own, nothing to capture twice.

My bookkeeper in Roodepoort recommended it and she was right

Happy enough to renew, not happy enough to rave. Multi currency costs extra, which stung when we landed our first Namibian client. It handles our small stock list fine and warns us when items run low.

Pros

Fair monthly cost for what you get

Serving our Bloemfontein operation well

Bookkeeping used to eat my Sundays and now it takes an hour with coffee.

A quiet workhorse for 2 years now

My accountant suggested it when we registered for VAT and it has carried us since. Statements go out to all customers in one run at month end. Recurring invoices run themselves on the first of the month, I do not touch them.

Pros

VAT201 report maps directly to what eFiling asks for; the audit trail is clean and complete

Doing the job for us in Klerksdorp

Signed up during a February VAT scramble and it sorted us out properly. It flagged a duplicate supplier invoice last month and paid for itself right there. Yoco payments reconcile against invoices without me lifting a finger.

Pros

Setup is quick even for non accountants

My bookkeeper in Worcester recommended it and she was right

It does most things well and a few things averagely. The stock module covers the basics but anything detailed means exporting to Excel. Support picked up within minutes the two times I actually needed them.

Pros

Fair monthly cost for what you get; recurring invoices and statements run themselves

Cons

Report layouts cannot really be customised

Mostly happy in Bloemfontein, a few gripes

There is a lot to like here and a few things that need honest work. Report customisation is limited, you get their layouts and that is that. It handles our small stock list fine and warns us when items run low.

Pros

Fair monthly cost for what you get

Cons

Project costing is not really there

Disappointed after 2 years

Support is where this fell apart for us. Reports would not give me the one breakdown SARS asked for and I rebuilt it by hand.

Cons

Bank feed reliability let us down repeatedly. Support response times were unacceptable, days not hours

Great fit for a small Rustenburg business

Signed up during a February VAT scramble and it sorted us out properly. Yoco payments reconcile against invoices without me lifting a finger. The dashboard tells me the bank balance, who owes me and what I owe, all on one screen.

Pros

Quotes and invoices are genuinely fast; the audit trail is clean and complete

Cons

Statement templates are a bit plain

Great fit for a small Vanderbijlpark business

There is a lot to like here and a few things that need honest work. Some screens take a few seconds too long to load on slow connections.

Does everything my 25 person business needs

We invoice about 25 clients a month and the debtors list keeps itself tidy. I especially rate the supplier side, capturing bills takes seconds. SARS deadlines come and go and I hardly notice them anymore.

Pros

Quotes and invoices are genuinely fast; slip capture on the phone works well

Cons

Stock module not suited to serious warehousing

I capture supplier invoices the day they arrive and cash flow finally makes sense. I especially rate the supplier side, capturing bills takes seconds. Five stars from me and from my accountant.

Pros

Debtors management is simple and clear; fair monthly cost for what you get

Cons
